  1. Acer House project proposed for E. Cherry and 23rd Avenue (the current site of Flowers 4 U). This project has been reviewed at previous LURC meetings, but significant changes from previous designs will be presented at this meeting. A contract rezone of the site is being sought to increase the development capacity — from the current NC1 zone with a 40 foot height limit. The rezone, if granted, would allow a building higher than 40 feet.  The proposal is for a mixed-use building with approximately 120 apartments, including affordable housing, and up to 8 retail spaces on the ground floor.  The developer describes the project as a “truly anti-racist private sector development.”  The aesthetic of the proposed design is described as “Afro-futurism”  For the City of Seattle Department of Construction and Inspection file documents, at the DCI Web page enter project 3037717.
  2. The project proposed for 900 Rainier Ave. S., (directly north of the Black Manufacturing Building)  This proposal also has been reviewed at an earlier LURC meeting and is approaching final Design Review approval.  The project is for an 8-story building with approximately 290 units.
